The Artists

Julie studied Art and Design at University of Brighton and wishing to further her development of figurative art, completed a post graduate course at the Slade School of Art. During this period she developed the use of acrylic and explored a more expressionist approach to her work. Julie is principally interested in using the figure to produce evocative works which have a hidden narrative that allows the viewer to find their own interpretation. Julie likes to work in many media, which include oil, watercolour and in particular acrylic; many of her paintings are in private collections.
