The Artists

Philip Hood

Philip Hood Dip Arch FSAI Philip studied architecture at Brighton College of Art, then ran his own London based architectural practice for 36 years, and is now retired and living near Chichester. He exhibits at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester and participates annually in the Chichester Art Trail (Open Studios). He is a member of the Society of Architectural Illustration and undertakes house portrait commissions. Philip is particularly interested in depicting buildings and the form defining effects of light and shade and, as a keen yachtsman and walker, is also visually stimulated by often fleeting lighting effects on waterscape and landscape. He attempts to capture these moments on paper, hoping that viewers will also connect with the sensations experienced on these particularly atmospheric occasions. We are delighted to be able to offer a small selection of his work in the form of limited edition Giclée prints.
