Rosi Robinson

Rosi has exhibited in Britain, Europe, the USA, Canada, China and Japan. She has also travelled widely in Indonesia and Sri Lanka, where she studied the technique of batik. In 2005 she exhibited and lectured at the World Batk Conference in Boston and in 2008 exhibited in Berlin.

Rosi's trips to the Far East, Europe and North America, have influenced her subject matter, which varies from land and seascapes, birds and animals to portraits and sporting scenes. Though her pictures are principally figurative, she enjoys experimenting with the wax and dyes, developing ideas in more abstract ways on cotton, silk and paper.

Rosi has been featured in numerous magazines and in January 2001 she wrote "Creative Batik" published by Search Press. For the last twenty two years she has been Head of Art at Cumnor House School in Danehill, Sussex, where many of her pupils have won scholarships and awards.

She has produced a DVD called 'The Magik of Batik' (Studio Galli)
